All of the events will take place in the Marcelle Athletic Complex (MAC) on the Siena University Campus.

9:30AM: Welcome Address and Introduction
9:45AM: "Canticle of The Creatures: A Model for a New Type of Social and Economic Life"
Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conventual will present on the Franciscan visions of engaging the world through the lens of St. Francis of Assisi's Canticle of the Creatures and the broader Franciscan tradition.
Br. Ryan Thornton, OFM will discuss Franciscan approaches to the economy that are inclusive and holistic.
11:20AM: "Societal Impact and Integral Community Development: A dialogue"
Kirsten S. Moy (Aspen Institute), in dialogue with Aaron Pacitti from Siena's School of Business, will discuss approaches to societal impact and integral community development.
The conversation will be followed by a panel discussion including Moy, Pacitti, Katie Nelson ‘15, MBA ‘23,
and a Ava Greer, MS Business Analytics student.
Lunch
For guests outside of the Siena community, lunch will be served in Lonnstrom Dining Hall. This is a ticketed lunch which can be purchased during registration.
Siena community members should eat in the regular Siena dining facilities.
1:30PM-3:30PM: Community Exposition
Partners from around the Capital Region and from all over the globe will join the Siena community to share their work with the community. These partners will include businesses, non-profits, advocacy organizations, and more! Come see how different members of our communities address the challenges and opportunities in the world today around sustainability.
4:20PM-6:00PM: Keynote Presentation
Amy Domini (Domini Impact Investments Fund) will share her vision of an economy that promotes fairness, equality, justice, long-term sustainability, and respect for human rights.
Following the presentation, Domini will be joined by speakers from the day in a panel discussion hosted by Andrea Smith-Hunter, Ph.D., of Siena’s School of Business and Br. Jimmy Kernan, OFM of the Laudato Si’ Center.
6:00PM-7:00PM: Community Reception
Let's celebrate the day together! After the keynote presentation, there will be food, drinks, and opportunities to interact with the symposium participants and presenters.
