The Fund was established to support students who seek the unique education for a lifetime that Siena provides as a Franciscan, Catholic liberal arts institution. a. The Scholarship shall be awarded to students with financial need as determined by the Siena Office of Financial Aid (or its successor), subject to University guidelines. b . The Scholarship shall be awarded with preference for an incoming student from the Pleasantville, NY parish, and/or coming from Pleasantville, NY. In any given year when these preferences cannot be met, the scholarship will be awarded to a student with financial need. c. It is the donor's intent that two scholarship recipients should be chosen to receive a $5,000 award annually and that the students chosen should receive this amount during each of their four years at Siena University. Whenever possible, we will attempt to accommodate this intent _but it may be necessary to set award amounts based on student need. We will renew this scholarship the following year to the same student(s), provided they meet the renewal criteria and that there are funds available in this Scholarship.
