The Rosario "Sal" Ilacqua '50 Student Opportunity Fund for the School of Business was established to provide critical financial support to students within the School of Business to bridge the gap between academic study and professional certification. The fund is designed to ease the financial burden of high-cost professional development milestones that often present a barrier to entry for talented students. Funds are primarily intended to cover the costs associated with professional examinations and credentials, such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) materials, or other specialized industry certifications. Additionally, the fund may be used to support ancillary expenses—including exam registration fees, prep courses, and study materials—that would otherwise pose a significant financial hardship.
