Frank Ambrose received a Bachelor of Science degree from Siena College, majoring in Finance. While at Siena, he participated in Army ROTC, but eventually received a Navy ROTC scholarship and cross enrolled at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. However, Frank always stayed active in the Siena community especially through his participation in Campus Ministry.

After graduation, Frank was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer and spent 10 years in the active and reserve Navy. He was stationed in various locations along the east coast from as far north as Newport RI and as far south as Mayport FL. Frank left the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander and received numerous decorations including the Navy Achievement and Navy Commendation Medals. Following his time in the military, Frank began his career with MCI Communications and spent the next 25 years in the technology and communications industry. He was fortunate to have experienced the beginnings of the internet while Director of Network Operations at AOL. Following his time at AOL, he began working with Silicon Valley technology
companies and eventually with healthtech startup Rally Health. Rally Health was eventually acquired by United Healthcare in 2016. It was at that time that Frank reconnected with Siena. Having always been a passionate Siena Basketball fan Frank and his wife Sheila started Siena’s NIL collective Saints March On. They also were key supporters of Siena’s communications program through the Ambrose Media Center and our student-athletes through the SMO Fueling station.

Frank and Sheila (a graduate of James Madison University) have been married for more than twenty-five years, and are the proud parents of Caitlin (a teen counselor), Oliver (a singer/songwriter), Rachel (a public relations specialist) and Chris (a senior at James Madison University). Frank is an avid (albeit moderately successful) golfer. He stays busy investing and advising small companies, serves as a Limited Partner with NextGen Venture Group, a part of Brown Advisory Group and is a member of the board of the Men’s Golf Association at The Golf Club at Lansdowne in Leesburg, Virginia. Frank and Sheila split time between Virginia and Nashville Tennessee where three of their four children and their newest granddaughter live.
