Clare: “My favorite Siena memory would be the Siena Saints basketball games. The Siena Saints supporters are a community like no other. Each game is electric and exciting bringing you together with your classmates, peers, professors and even friars all showing unified support. It was always exciting and I still enjoy attending these games even as an alumnae.”

My Siena Experience

Gavin: “I had a great experience at Siena.  Everyone was very friendly and my professors were amazing.”

Clare: “It is truly the education of a lifetime. I created friendships with classmates, professors and even the dining hall staff that I carry with me to this day. While going to school, broadening your knowledge and faith you are surrounded by support and love of so many who truly want you to succeed.”

Siena impact on business or personal success

Gavin: “I learned a lot through my business and accounting courses at Siena. I gained a lot of necessary knowledge to help me take over my family business.”

Clare: “Siena prepared me with the tools to know how to successfully help operate my family business and continue to allow it to grow and evolve with time. Siena not only gave me the knowledge to continue to grow and prosper in the working world but it also taught me the value of kindness and compassion which is invaluable in my eyes.”

Inspiration to give back to Siena

Mary Theresa “Mona” and her husband Paul Reamer are the proud and loved aunt and uncle to the lovely Hourihan clan. In addition to the Hourihan graduates, Paul has two siblings and a Reamer nephew who are Siena graduates.  Together Mona and Paul have quite a strong connection to Siena and want to see it continue to thrive.  They make this gift to Siena College in memory of Mona’s parents Mary Theresa and John with the hope that the tradition of attending Siena may continue as the descendants of John and Mary Theresa continue to grow.

Living close to Siena enables Mona and Paul to enjoy attending mass at Siena and walking the beautiful campus.
