Siena is offering a cohort-based and term-based enrollment system to maximize the limited number of licenses afforded by the Google AI Education Accelerator program through Coursera. This ensures that as many participants as possible can benefit from the program.
Before enrolling, review the Certificates page to choose the credential that best aligns with your career goals and availability. Be realistic about your time commitment, as licenses are assigned for a set period based on your selection in the enrollment form.
For the Fall 2026 pilot, all licenses will be reserved for Faculty, Staff, and Administrators. The initial pilot assignment to the program will be from September 15, 2026 to January 15, 2027. Licenses will be reclaimed on January 16, 2027, so that they can be made available to the entire Siena community (you can request to be enrolled again as necessary).
If you are unable to complete a course or a certificate program, Coursera will remember your progress and allow you to resume the learning when you receive a license again.
Licenses will be assigned on a first-come-first serve basis. If an assigned license is not accepted within a 2 weeks, or if your Coursera account shows prolonged inactivity, it may be reassigned to the next person on the waitlist.
The next Cohort will be from mid-January 2027 to May 2027.
Enrollment Steps
Step 1: Complete the Enrollment Form
Complete the Google Form to reserve a license.
Step 2: Wait for Approval & Coursera Invitation
You will receive an email invitation from Coursera granting access to the program within 48 business hours. Please check your Siena email inbox for th official invite.
Step 3: Accept the Coursera Invitation & Start Learning
- Accept the invitation in Coursera
- Select from one of the learning paths curated by Siena University
- Start learning at your own pace!
Important: If your Coursera account shows prolonged inactivity, your license may be reassigned to allow another learner to participate. Licenses expire at the end of the pre-defined term; however, you can resubmit a form request to have your license renewed for the next Cohort.
