The rest is history:

Rachel planned to enter Siena as an undecided student until she read an article about a Siena College American Studies major. “I wasn’t aware of the major before reading the article, but after doing some research, I realized American Studies would be a great fit with my interests,” says Rachel.

Heaven on Earth:

Spent the summer planning the National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshop “Heaven on Earth: Shakers, Religious Revival and Social Reform in America,” an educational tool for 80 teachers from across the country.

Busy summer:

As a Siena Summer Service Scholar and the project’s education liaison, she worked closely with regional museums to coordinate activities for participants, researched demographics of participants, and helped run the workshops. “It was incredible, something I will always remember and use in my career.”

In costume:

Will spend the fall interning at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. “I am so excited to be working in a living history museum!”
