Siena College is accepting applications for the position of Cleaner/Janitor. Hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This position will be responsible to perform routine manual work in cleaning and maintaining a stock of supplies in the building, as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Additional responsibilities will be to police the outside of the building, shovel snow and sweep entrances and outside patios, decks, and doormats, change and clean outside trash receptacles, water flowers, and perform minor repairs. These positions will also demonstrate the ability to learn about chemical safety, how to run specialized equipment properly, how to clean & disinfect bathrooms & showers, and learn blood born pathogen safety & procedures. These positions require long periods of standing, climbing, bending, stooping, walking, moving furniture and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
