Assistant Director of Academic Community Engagement

The Office of Academic Community Engagement (ACE) seeks candidates for immediate review to fill the position of Assistant Director. Reporting to the Director of Academic Community Engagement, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing the development and implementation of two new corporate and non-profit partnership programs that build on the expertise and infrastructure of ACE to engage students, faculty and staff in academically grounded DEEP service with the communities of the Capital Region. For more information on ACE please see www.siena.edu/ace Duties will include curriculum development, program design and evaluation, recruitment, social-media and marketing management, supervision of student volunteers, project design and implementation, donor relations and partnership development.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in a human services management field and 3 or more years’ experience, including at least one year of relevant experience in either corporate philanthropy or non-profit leadership. Familiarity with AmeriCorps/VISTA Programs and Models is also required. Strong written and verbal communication, the ability to communicate well and work effectively with men and women of diverse backgrounds are essential, as well as proficiency in Mac Application and Microsoft Office applications, and excellent organizational and analytical skills. Finally experience with social-media and marketing, and some teaching, training, and facilitation experience are strongly preferred.
