The Siena Marketing Experience 2012

The Second Annual Siena Marketing Experience was held on September 18 in The Maloney Great Room. This full day event allowed students the unique opportunity to observe various marketing classes instructed by faculty and presentations conducted by students. The focus of the event was on career planning and it provided a forum for students and marketing faculty to interact and discuss the marketing curriculum at Siena.

Representatives from the Career Center addressed the audience throughout the day and provided details on the valuable resources available to students and effective ways to marketing yourself for career planning goals. Dean Mello provided an overview of the significance of understanding marketing principles for all students, regardless of major.

The Siena American Marketing Association Student Club assisted faculty in producing poster boards containing information regarding each marketing course and students were able to gather information about learning goals, career opportunities and the significant value of each course in the marketing curriculum. Students were also able to understand how the marketing curriculum reinforces the mission of Siena College and the School of Business.

The estimated attendance was over 300 and feedback has been extremely positive. The Marketing Department is grateful to the number of individuals that assisted in making The Siena Marketing Experience a successful event.
