Certificate in Community Development

 COMD HANDBOOK

Siena's Certificate in Community Development makes it possible for all Siena students to have an enriched, hands-on academic pathway to community service and engagement.  By the time they are finished, all certificate students will have experienced doing service at the urban, rural, and global level. Some of the required coursework includes an entry level course that systematically examines poverty, a rural/international course, a community development methods course, and a capstone research paper. Students also do a 300 hour internship and a five-week global internship with nonprofits in Bolivia and India. ACE is truly providing students cutting edge opportunities in community engaged work.
