Todd Snyder joined the English Faculty at Siena College in Fall 2011.  He received an M.A. in English from Marshall University (2006) and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from Ohio University (2011).  His scholarly research draws from a variety of fields: rhetoric and composition, community literacy studies, communications studies, cultural studies, and critical theory/pedagogy.  He regularly teaches writing, rhetoric, and speech courses that maintain a pop culture focus.  His “Rhetoric(s) of Hip-Hop Culture” course was recently featured on Siena’s homepage, and you can learn more about the course in this recent video interview.

Todd's upcoming book, The Hillbilly Speaks of Rhetoric: An Exploration of Appalachian Identity, will be published by McFarland in 2014.
