Frequently Asked Questions about the Application Process

How can students use the Common Application to get the same benefits as the Fast Forward Application?
A student may apply with the Common Application and have the same benefits as the Fast Forward Application by selecting the "other" fee waiver option on the Common Application website.

Does Siena require an interview?
Interviews are not required, but they are recommended.  Interviews and other visits demonstrate that the student is significantly interested in Siena College, which is something we like to see!

Can I fax my recommendation in?
All official documents should be sent electronically or through snail mail.

If a student applies Early Action with the Common Application, does he or she still get a response within 7-10 business days?
Yes!  Once their application is complete and all materials have been received by us, we will be able to review their application and get the decision out within two weeks.

Can students' SAT and ACT scores be sent in via their official transcript?
We accept official test scores on the high school transcript or directly sent from the Collegeboard or ACT.  Siena's SAT code is 2814 and our ACT code is 2878.
