How to Apply for Financial Aid

In order to apply for Federal, State and/or Siena need-based financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To ensure adequate processing time we recommend that you file your FAFSA by February 15th online at www.fafsa.gov The FAFSA is the only financial aid application we require at Siena.

To complete the FAFSA, you will need your 2013 federal tax returns and your PIN numbers. Please note, financial aid packages for prospective students will be mailed starting in early March. If the only aid you want to be considered for is merit-based and you do not intend to file the FAFSA for the 2014-2015 aid year, please notify the Financial Aid Office via email at aid@siena.edu. Please refer to the videos below for additional information about the financial aid application process.

If you are a NYS resident please be sure to apply for TAP by following the link at the completion of your online FAFSA application. Or you may file directly at www.tapweb.org.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:

We understand that the FAFSA is not always indicative of your current financial situation. If you have recently changed jobs, lost a job, have high medical expenses, pay private secondary school tuition, or have any other unusual circumstances, we may be able to help. Please visit our Special Circumstances page for more detailed information.
