Alcohol

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, excessive alcohol use led to approximately 88,000 deaths and 2.5 million years of potential life lost (YPLL) each year in the United States from 2006 – 2010. 

Marijuana

Marijuana is one of the most commonly used illegal substance in the US.

Tobacco

The evidence and the trends reflect that tobacco use, smoking and exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke are significant health hazards.

Other Drugs

Prescription drug abuse is when someone takes a medication that was prescribed for someone else or takes their own prescription in a way not intended by a doctor or for a different reason—like to get high.
