Objectives and Student Learning Outcomes

Implement a comprehensive model of risk assessment to use in planning events and activities for student leaders, faculty and staff and provide educational opportunities on risk management to student leaders, faculty and staff

  • SLO: Student leaders and Resident Assistants will be able to identify different risk factors associated with events, including the potential impact of unmitigated risks on the organization and on the community
  • SLO: Student leaders and Resident Assistants will be able to identify and assess risk management/mitigation strategies SLO: Student leaders and Resident Assistants will apply appropriate risk management strategies to specific events
  • SLO: Student leaders and Resident Assistants will be able to appraise the value of an event in relation to the College’s mission; determining whether the value outweighs the risk remaining after mitigation.

Provide guidance and oversight on regulatory compliance to the division of Student Life and Monitor legislative action related to higher education to provide educational updates for Student Life staff

  • SLO: Students will demonstrate awareness of topics covered under mandatory training requirements, which apply to their co-curricular pursuits
