PCA Drop-In Service
Need to have a draft of your resume, cover letter, or your ePortfolio reviewed? Have basic questions about Handshake? Talk with a PCA during PCA Drop In hours throughout the Academic Year. Additional Drop In opportunities are also available in other campus locations such as residence halls and at special times. Please be advised that this service is on a first come, first served basis.
Resume Certification Policy
Every student's default resume uploaded into Handshake will be reviewed for certification by Career Education and Professional Development. Resumes will be certified if they meet basic resume guidelines as outlined in this resume rubric. Resumes will not be certified if there are significant errors in formatting, content, and/or grammar.
This review may take up to two (2) business days to complete, therefore, please plan accordingly. Also, if a resume is reviewed, it does NOT guarantee that it will be certified. If you're unsure whether your document will be certified or not, come in to see a PCA during Drop Ins.
Career Workshop Request
Are you looking for a workshop or presentation for your class, club or organization? The Career and Internship Center and the PCAs are happy to help. Please complete the Presentation Request Form to have a team member speak to your group on a variety of professional development topics. The Career and Internship Center must have at least two (2) weeks notice to accommodate all requests.
