College Opens Thompson Trail

Siena College has officially opened Thompson Trail. Much like its namesake, the late Dell Thompson, Ed.D., the 750-foot walkway is a strong, sturdy structure that connects the Siena College community. That was Thompson’s goal for more than 30 years.

As the semester drew to a close, many Siena students gave presentations on the results of their research and class projects. Perhaps the most interesting, and certainly the most interactive, research was on display on the third floor of Roger Bacon Hall during the College’s first RoboShow.

Warm sunshine, a cool breeze and the faint sound of an acoustic guitar filled the air outside the Sarazen Student Union as members of the Environmental Club joined fellow students, faculty and administrators in celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.

Among the sunshine, clear sky, green grass and calm breeze, passers-by could pick out the Siena community helping to keep their campus clean throughout the day on Tuesday, April 20. The fourth annual Campus Clean-Up Day takes care of Siena’s beautiful grounds and brings people from all areas of Siena together.
