Campus Renovations Support Academic Innovation

Prospective business leaders and entrepreneurs gathered inside Siena’s Sarazen Student Union for a special celebration, the naming of the College’s first “Entrepreneur of the Year.” The award is given by Siena’s Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to a Siena graduate who has positively impacted his or her community and is driven by the entrepreneurial spirit and values of Siena College. On ABC’s critically-acclaimed reality show Shark Tank, a panel consisting of highly successful business people known as the “sharks,” listens to pitches from entrepreneurs who want help financing and developing their money-making ideas. The sharks ultimately decide if the products and businesses are worth their investment. Siena students with the entrepreneurial spirit recently participated in the College’s version of the show, a contest called Spark Tank.

​Energy, enthusiasm and excitement filled the Marcelle Athletic Complex Saturday night as students, parents, faculty, administrators, staff, donors and trustees celebrated Family Weekend and the launch of Living Our Tradition: The Campaign for Siena College. The $50 million comprehensive campaign is designed to help the Siena continue to grow and evolve while pursuing the goals established in its strategic plan.
