Siena College’s Baldwin Nursing Department is seeking an initial accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE will conduct an on-site accreditation visit at Siena College on September 6-8, 2017. CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public's health and ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing.
In accordance with their Procedures for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Degree Nursing Programs, CCNE provides the opportunity for program constituents to submit, in writing, comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation. This is an open invitation to provide written and signed comments concerning the baccalaureate nursing program at Siena College. CCNE will be accepting comments until August 8, 2017.
CCNE shares third-party comments only with the evaluation team prior to the on-site evaluation, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program, the Accreditation Review Committee, or the Board. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to the program’s qualifications for accreditation.
