CURCA Student Presents Research at National Conference

Dorothy Miller (Chemistry, '16) and research advisor Dr. Jodi O'Donnell travelled to Boston in August 2015 for Dorothy to present her poster entitled Metalloporphyrin-Based Dual-Mode Colorimetric Sensors at the 250th American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting and Exposition.  Dorothy received two honors at the conference; she was awarded a Division of Inorganic Chemistry Student Travel Award and chosen to participate in the Sci-Mix Poster Session.  As described by the ACS, Sci-Mix a meeting-wide social event that highlights the best of what each division has to offer in terms both science and presentation. ACS is the world's largest scientific society and national meetings attract more than 10,000 attendees from all around the world.
