Mrs. O'Connor-Lobato is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon, and earned her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at The College of Saint Rose. Mrs. O'Connor-Lobato is bilingual and bicultural and was born in Madrid, Spain. Her experience includes working with college students both in the United States and abroad including working for Syracuse University Center in Madrid for many years. Mrs. O'Connor-Lobato has had a diverse blend of experiences in the mental health field including working with both victims and perpetrators of sexual trauma, family therapy and co-facilitating an array of therapeutic groups. Her areas of interest include trauma, mindfulness-based stress reduction, cultivating healthy relationships, and narrative therapy. Mrs. O'Connor-Lobato has a strength-based approach which focuses on building upon the individual's positive attributes and developing strategies to address concerns.
