Siena’s broadcast and society minor offers introductory and advanced courses in media production and theory for students who want to pursue a career in broadcast journalism or other broadcast media. 

If you minor in broadcast and society at Siena, you’ll take six courses (18 credits) in subject areas including reporting for radio and TV, image and society, multimedia design, television production, documentary filmmaking, and film theory and criticism. You also have opportunities to intern in the broadcasting industry. Our program places a strong emphasis on media law and ethics.


As a student journalist at Siena, you’ll get hands-on training using state-of-the-art HD cameras and professional video-editing software. And you’ll learn from faculty who are experienced reporters and anchors.
