Roots Cafe is a weekly sustainable lunch that includes organic, local, and/or Fair Trade food and ingredients. Menu planning, execution and food is provided by Siena Fresh, and sponsored by the Women's Center, and it is thanks to their staff and resources that Roots is executed so nicely each week! 

Roots is an initiative that emerged from Siena’s Real Food Campaign. Siena students are currently collaborating with the Real Food Challenge, a non profit organization whose goal is to shift $1 billion in spending nationwide at the college and university level towards Real Food. Real Food is anything that’s local, organic, sustainable, Fair Trade or humane. One of the ways that Siena is working towards this goal is through our weekly sustainable luncheon. Roots Cafe typically serves about 150+ Siena community members every Wednesday!

It’s every Wednesday from 12-1:30pm in  the Massry Dining Hall of Snyder Hall.  It’s for everyone, students & faculty, and it is JUST A MEAL SWIPE! Plus, the food is served straight to you by student volunteers.

Our unique menu changes each week, and always has vegetarian options, often includes meat options, and always includes dessert! The menu is posted every Tuesday night on the Womne's Center Facebook Page.
