Community engagement during the covid-19 pandemic

Siena College and the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy (FCSA) is following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the local, and the state health officials regarding college operations during the coronavirus pandemic. While the college has resumed in-person classes, direct off-campus community engagement is highly limited to protect the health and safety of both the campus and our community partners. Similarly, large gatherings are to be avoided within the campus community to limit the spread of the virus.

Students, faculty, and staff that wish to contribute personally to the community are encouraged to review any opportunities from our community partners at their respective websites. Before attempting to visit any of these partners, the FCSA asks that you first determine whether an agency can safely accept donations, on-site volunteers, or if they are able to accommodate remote collaboration. Please stay safe and healthy during these hard times.
