As a result of his travels across borders and among peoples of diverse cultures, ethnicities, languages, and religions, Francis of Assisi came to a deep respect for the inherent dignity of all. Inspired by his example, the Center for International Programs aims to develop within students the knowledge, generosity, and skills which will contribute to the building of a more peaceable and just world.

In support of the Center and Siena's broader mission, we are comprised of the following:

  • Siena Abroad - Promotes learning abroad as an integral component of every Siena student's education through personalized advising for short- and long-term study abroad opportunities and nationally-competitive, prestigious international scholarships and fellowships
  • International Student Services - Facilitates the success, integration, wellness, and personal development of all international students on campus through intercultural programming and comprehensive advising
  • International Student Recruitment - Collaborates with the Office of Admissions to engage students from different nationalities, cultures, faiths, and backgrounds to engage in the academic and social life of the campus
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) - Explores and uses English as a key to open dialogue and cross-cultural understanding through professionally-taught ESOL and TESOL courses
