It was great to welcome our alumni "home" to Siena for Reunion Weekend! Alumni reconnected and celebrated with one another while seeing all that's new on campus.
Highlights of the weekend included the Alumni Golf Tournament, our opening event on Friday, June 3, at Wolfert's Roost Country Club. Friday night welcomed the Class of 1966 to their 50th Reunion Dinner, where many classmates saw each other for the first time in decades. The night capped off with the All Alumni Welcome Back at Casey's and The Paddock, where alumni were able to enjoy drinks and food around the fire pit and under the stars. Saturday, June 4, featured the President's Brunch where the Distinguished Alumni Award winners were celebrated. During the afternoon, Bernie visited alumni and their families at the Alumni and Family Picnic. Attendees enjoyed live music, dined at food trucks, and played games in the Quad. On Saturday evening, the Classes of 2006 (10 year), 1991 (25 year) and 1976 (40 year) gathered for dinner receptions before meeting the rest of the classes under the tent for dessert and dancing to music provided by WVCR's own Darren Scott Kibbey. The weekend closed on Sunday, June 5, with the Alumni Mass. Unfortunately, the gorgeous weather broke on Sunday, forcing the mass to be relocated from the Grotto to the St. Mary of the Angels Chapel.
The weekend was full of smiles and stories of friendship, Friars, and fond memories of Siena College. As always, it was a pleasure to welcome back all of the attendees, and we hope to see you all again soon!
Mark your calendars for Reunion 2017, June 2-4, when we will be celebrating classes ending in '2' and '7'!
