Standish Honors Program

Standish Honors Program

The Standish Honors Program deepens the Siena experience through personal interaction with faculty and staff both inside and outside of the classroom.

The Standish Honors Program expands opportunities to:

  • Gather, synthesize and analyze evidence in making reasoned and informed judgments
  • Appreciate cultural diversity
  • Enhance written and oral communications skills

Additionally, the Standish Honors Program offers a number of compelling benefits, including:

  • Undergraduate research culminating in a senior thesis
  • Additional faculty mentorship
  • Community service
  • Peer scholar support

Approximately 30-35 students are selected for the program each year. As entering freshmen, Presidential Scholars can be considered. Honors Fellows must maintain a 3.3 GPA throughout their studies at Siena.

Students interested in the Standish Honors Program must submit a letter or email of intent to Colin O'Reilly in the Office of Admissions by March 28.
