Solutions Summit

The idea of a competition is something that as students, we feel will promote student involvement in policy at both a national and personal level. Because Policy work is often abstract and lacks tangibility, we think that a competition can serve as an end of the year culminating event that would give the students both an end goal, as well as a place to showcase all of the hard work they have done in the past year. In tandem with this, the competition would also require teams to run an active policy options bureau and build curriculum around policy that can be shared with the rest of the Bonners in their program as well as with the national network. In this sense, the competition also helps move the national network into the direction of making public policy and policy options a core aspect of the individual Bonner programs.
