HVAC Specialist

Siena College is accepting applications for an HVAC Specialist in the Office of Facilities Management. This full-time, 12 month position is to be a resident expert in all elements of HVAC systems and related controls. Duties include but are not limited to installation, retrofitting, troubling shooting, repair, maintenance & adjustments of HVAC systems and equipment including air conditioning chillers, boilers, furnaces, ventilation fans, cooling towers, split systems, portable a/c units and other electro-mechanical systems.

A high school diploma, associate's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of experience are required for this postion. Knowledge of installation and repair of refrigeration equipment & associated wiring, DDC controls, block programming, HVAC & refrigeration sequences and the ability to use Microsoft programs is also required. This position is also responsible for the performance of HVAC preventive maintenance and will periodically work as part of a project team to complete renovation or retrofit projects.

Candidates must possess a valid New York State Driver License at the time of appointment and must maintain such license throughout the tenure of employment.
