User Support Specialist
The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) at Siena College is seeking applications for the full-time staff position of User Support Specialist. Reporting to the Director of User Services, the User Support Specialist is responsible for providing advanced technical consulting, guidance and troubleshooting services to the College community on issues relating to computing and educational technologies. Additional areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, managing Help Desk student support staff; asset management & inventory procedures; development & management of Windows & Macintosh systems images used for deployment.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience or an associate’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience is required for this position. Advanced knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating systems; experience with imaging and cloning technologies for both platforms; knowledge of software in use on campus such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Adobe products; experience with PC and/or Apple hardware internals; familiarity with networking; and excellent communication skills are also required.
