The Siena College Education Department and its initial teacher preparation programs are recognized by eight accrediting bodies. All the programs prepare individuals to work as teachers or in other roles in school. The Education Department is fully accredited through 2017 by the country’s leading accreditation board for the preparation of teachers: NCATE. The initial teacher education program prepares students to teach in secondary schools.
