Pamela has spent the past 28 years in the field of education, human capacity building and program development both in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to her start at Siena, her most recent work took her to the Middle East where she designed and developed a public/private on-the-job workforce development program and global internship for small to medium-size companies. Prior to that, she spent seven years creating and directing an innovative, experiential and comprehensive four-year Seminar program for girls in grades 9 – 12 at the Emma Willard School. While there, she coordinated community engagement projects with Troy area service organizations, founded a Fair Trade service team, organized service trips to Mexico, and developed a summer service internship with disadvantaged Jordanian and Palestinian youth at King’s Academy in Jordan. Directly out of graduate school, Pam spent ten years directing the community education department of a women’s health center in Albany, NY engaging extensively with youth and professionals at community agencies throughout Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene counties. Pam received a BA from Hamilton College in 1984 and an MPH from Columbia University in NYC in 1993. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps Ecuador for two years (1989-1991), providing education and training to urban youth, community leaders, and other PC volunteers.
