Urban Community Engagement


Want to earn college credit while completing a combination of course work and hands on community service hours? Register for Urban Community Engagement, a summer course opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors. You will have the opportunity to examine why poverty exists in the Capital Region, learn about social, cultural, and economic disparities, and use the information you learn from class and apply it at a service site.

Course Details:

  • For 3 credits, tuition is $700 (half the original cost of tuition)
  • Classes run from July 8 - August 2, MWF 9 AM - 12 PM (Class), MW 1 PM - 4 PM (LAB) AND T/TH 9 AM-4 PM (Community Service).
