NEH Program Assistant

Siena College’s McCormick Center for the Study of the American Revolution is accepting applications for the part-time temporary position of National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Program Assistant. This is an eight-month postion (January 2013 – August 2013), approximately 15 hours per week.

Principle Tasks and Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and schedules activities related to program
Organize and coordinate meetings and travel arrangements
Communicate verbally and in writing to answer inquiries and provide information
Liaison with internal and external contacts
Record and distribute minutes of meetings
Maintain schedules and calendars
Arrange and confirm appointments
Familiarity with database systems (Banner)
Assist the Director of the McCormick Center as needed

Requirements: Associate’s degree or comparable work experience and at least three years’ experience in an administrative assistant capacity. Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills are also essential.
