HEOP Graduate Assistant
The Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) of Siena College is seeking applications for the Graduate Student Assistant for the current academic year. This is a part-time, 7-month position, from December 2012 through June 2013. Duties for the position include but are not limited to: assisting the Tutor Coordinator with operational management of the tutoring program; analysis of student learning goals for the HEOP summer program; analysis and assessment of HEOP students’ academic achievements by academic department; retention studies; and assisting the Director with State Education Department reports.
The successful candidate must be a matriculated graduate student in one of the following areas: Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a related field. The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher and Power Point. Experience working with a culturally diverse student population is desired. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
