Accommodations

Siena College Housing

Although the housing options are different for Session One and Session Two , Siena College will provide linens including towels, washcloths, pillows, cotton blankets, and flat sheets to all guests. Moreover, neither the townhouses nor New Hall dormitories have televisions or phones. We urge you to bring your own cell phone. Wireness and Ethernet cable jacks are available in both locations. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all NEH Summer Scholars bring a laptop or equivalent device.

Free laundry facilities are available and there is ample free parking adjacent to the residences. NEH Summer Scholars who are driving to Albany are welcome to bring anything they like to make their rooms a little more comfortable for the week. THere are several shopping centers with pharmacies, grocery stores, and other small shops within one to five miles of the campus.

Session One (July 7-July 13)

NEH Summer Scholars will reside in the recently constructed MacClosky Square townhouses. The townhouses are two-story buildings with some carpeting and hard wood flooring. The townhouses have a furnished living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom on the first floor and two or three bedrooms and a full bathroom on the second floor. Two NEH Summer Scholars will share a townhouse.

Each bedroom has a climate control system and overhead lights and is furnished with a desk and chair, bed, dresser, and closet. Siena College will provide linens including towels, washcloths, pillows, cotton blankets, and flat sheets. Free laundry facilities are available and there is ample free parking adjacent to the residences.  Participants are welcome to bring their own kitchen supplies to prepare their own meals in the townhouses.

MacClosky Square is within walking distance of Standish Library, two dining halls and Marcelle Athletic Center.
