John Moustakas
Welcome! I am an observational astronomer and an assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Siena College. I work on characterizing how galaxies have evolved over the 13.5 billion year history of the Universe, and on elucidating the physical processes responsible for that evolution. Toward that end, I have been involved in several of the largest ground- and space-based surveys of galaxies in the nearby and distant Universe ever conducted, including PRIMUS, the SDSS, and CLASH. If you are a student and interested in doing a research project with me, please send me some email or stop by my office!
