Sales Assistant - Athletics
Siena College, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, is seeking a Sales Assistant. This is a full time12-month position with benefits. Responsibilities include selling men’s and women’s basketball tickets on a year-round basis. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the sale of new season tickets, renewal and servicing of season ticketholders and premium seat holders, the sale of group tickets and other direct sales efforts. The qualified candidate shall develop and sell ticket programs through outbound calling, e-marketing, direct marketing, social media, and in-person consultation. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for identifying new customers, stewarding existing customers, maintaining customer database, managing inventory and creating new inventory. This position is expected to meet existing sales goals through weekly outbound and inbound calls. The candidate will be responsible for marketing the department’s summer sports camps by attending events, communicating with past campers and assisting in planning of advertising campaigns.
Requirements: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point also required. Comparable sales experience and/or external relations experience in collegiate athletics preferred. Experience with Ticketmaster and Archtics along with direct ticketing sales experience in a call center or outbound ticketing operation is preferred. Candidate must present a professional image and demeanor.
