Building Captain - Hines Hall / Kiernan Hall

Siena College is accepting resumes for the full-time position of Building Captain- Hines Hall / Kiernan Hall. The hours are Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Building Captain will report to the Custodial Department Supervisor and will be responsible for, among other things, managing the daily work flow of the building, prioritizing daily tasks to insure the safety & health of students and other personnel, and serving as the direct contact person responsible for providing general assistance to building occupants. In addition to performing routine manual cleaning tasks and maintaining supplies, the Building Captain will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building and for the training, quality control and general activities of at least one Custodian, Janitor or Cleaner. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to stand for long periods, climb, bend, stoop, move furniture and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or significant related experience, and three or more years experience are also required.
