Apply to Be a VISTA

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Siena College AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows Program! Applying to our program has never been easier. To start the application process, first create an account on nationalservice.gov and fill out a general online application. Then, visit our program listing, and click Apply Now!

Next, submit the Siena College AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows Program supplemental survey. This is a short survey that asks a few basic questions so that we may get to know you, your interests, and qualifications better!

After the application deadline, the Assistant Director of ACE/VISTA Fellows Program and current Siena AmeriCorps VISTA Leaders will review all applications. This process usually takes less than one week. Once all applications are reviewed, our staff will select and contact strong candidates to be interviewed. If selected, here are some things you should know before your interview:

• Each candidate has a 25 minute interview, including time candidates to ask questions.
  
• Before your interview, please watch our "Everything You Need to Know Before Your Siena AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows Interview".
  
• Your interview will be with the Assistant Director of ACE/VISTA Fellows Program and the current Siena AmeriCorps VISTA Leaders.
  
• After the interview, you can except a phone call or email within a couple of days from the Assistant Director of ACE/VISTA Fellows Program regarding a hiring decision. If you are offered a Siena VISTA position, you have 24 hours to accept or decline the offer.
  
• If you accept a Siena VISTA position, you will proceed to the "Community Partner Speed Interviewing" round where you will rank your top choices for a service site and our community partners will rank their top choices for candidates.
