Schedule of Dates


  • April 11-April 12 Preliminary Interviews
  • April 14 Secondary Interviews with Sponsors
  • June 4-5 Orientation
  • June 6 First Full Day of Service
  • August 10 Last Full Day of Service

 

Interview Process

Preliminary interviews will be held on Wednesday April 11, and Thursday April, 12 and will be held in Siena Hall. These interviews determine whether or not the interviewee is admitted into the program. A second interview with potential community partners wil be held on Saturday April 14. This interview will only be conducted if the student is admitted into the program and it will determine the student's placement with a site. Announcements will be made upon completion of interviews on April 14 of the student's placement. 

Remember:

Dress Professionally

Bring a copy of your Resume and Cover letter

Be a little early as the interviews are each 30 minutes long, and tightly scheduled

If you are located more than 2 hours away, you can schedule a phone or skype interview

 

Once You're Hired

Everyone needs to submit the following documentation:

Copy of Birth Certificate, Drivers License, and Social Security Card

OR

A Copy of a Passport

If you are not a US citizen, you must submit a Green Card or Residency Card.

 

Class Registration

  •  Siena Students register as normal.
  • Non-Siena Students please contact Ruth Kassel

 

Housing

 Living At Siena:

  • Rooms are billed on a weekly basis
  • All students residing on campus are required to select a meal plan since students will not be allowed to cook in the residence halls. 
    • 5 Meals a week- $90
    • 10 Meals a week- $115

Finding Housing in Albany:

  • Students who wish to live off campus are welcome to but they must be able to provide for themselves for the duration of their internship.

Transportation

Having transportation is not a requirement. The student's transportation needs will be determined once they are placed in an internship. However if you bring your own car you are eligible for a parking pass. The following links are the busroutes taken to the corresponding work site.
