| Jennifer Simek is originally from Gig Harbor, Washington and graduated in 2007 from the University of Washington, Seattle with my Bachelor of Arts in Law, Societies, and Justice. She joined the Siena AmeriCorps*VISTA Fellows Program in June 2009 and is now in her third year as a Siena AmeriCorps*VISTA Fellow. From June 2009-2010 she served as a Fellow at Grand Street Community Arts (GSCA) in the South End of Albany, helping to build awareness about the organization, implement a fundraising model, and worked closely with Siena's Dr. Paul Thurston to develop a strategic plan for GSCA. From June 2011 to present, she serves as a Siena AmeriCorps VISTA Leader, a mentorship role for new participants embarking on their first year of service. She also works closely with the Office of Academic Community Engagement on public relations and digital marketing projects. |
