John P. Harden, a native of Albany, graduated from Albany Law School with his Juris Doctor degree. He is also a graduate of St. Bernard's School of Theology and Ministry with a Masters in Theological Studies. Presently, he is finishing his PhD degree at the California Institute of Integral Studies. John has served as an Assistant District Attorney, a small business owner and faculty member at Siena College since 2005. He has taught religious studies, philosophy and business law. He presently teaches in the First Year Experience Seminar teaching a course entitled "Change The World: Community Engagement and Social Change". He is actively engaged in community based research and his classes include a significant service learning component. Prof. Harden has pioneered a community engaged writing partnership in the South End of Albany serving both adult learners and refugees. He also coordinates a global scholar partnership with students in Ghana.
