Research Interests: 

I am a visual sociologist, combining ethnography and documentary filmmaking. My most recent feature documentary, Covered, explores the world of heavily tattooed women and female tattoo artists. I am currently working on a book, Covered Women, which explores the social world of heavily tattooed women. My interests lie in subcultures: social activists, roller derby, tattoos, music, artistic, and identity based.
