Volunteer Ministry

The purpose of the Volunteer Ministry Club is to provide a forum of discussion and an opportunity for service based upon the principles of the Christian faith. Our mission reflects that of the college and the Chaplain's office in that we seek to “foster a campus culture wherein each member of the community is reverenced as uniquely created in the divine image, and all are encouraged to grow in personal relationship with God, intelligent reflection on their faith, and selfless service to one another and the wider world.” We seek to accomplish this through making the connection between scripture (through prayer, reading, and discussion) and the service our faith leads us to carry out. We encourage members of all faiths and beliefs to join.

We have a Bible Study every week studying through scripture and applying that scripture to our lives and our service.

We also have a Women's group meeting every week reading, praying, and discussing scripture together in faith. This is a safe environment to share with peers and to pray and encourage one another.

We also have volunteer events frequently throughout the semester to show God's love to those in need. Check out the Calendar for the dates and descriptions of all the activities.
