Siena Service Scholars (SSS) is an academic internship program in New York's State Capital. Participants in this program take one class, COMD 280 "Internship in Urban Community Development" which examines the root causes of poverty and best practices in community development. Summer Service Scholars can choose to participate in the research track or the internship track.
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
- Competitive placements with cutting edge nonprofit organizations
- 3 transferable credits from Siena College
- Professional Development: Leadership, academic and career-building activities
- Nonprofit professionals and faculty mentors
- Most students are eligible for an AmeriCorps Award (internship track) or Summer Scholar funding (research track)
