Summer Service Scholars

Siena Service Scholars is an academic internship program in New York's State Capital. Participants in this program take one class, ADTV499 "Internship in Sustainable Community Change" which combines the study of the root causes of poverty and best practices in community development with hands-on and behind the scenes non-profit immersion.

Highlights Include:

  • Internships: Competitive placements with cutting edge nonprofit organizations
  • Credit: 3-6 transferable Liberal Arts credits from Siena College
  • Professional Development: Leadership, academic and career-building activities
  • Networking: Nonprofit professionals, faculty experts and student change agents
  • Scholarships: Most students are eligible for one of two AmeriCorps Awards
