Archived E-mail

ITS archives all faculty and staff e-mail messages through Postini.

Access Archived Messages

To access archived messages, go to Postini

If you don't remember your password, see "Lost Password" instructions below.

Once logged in, click on the "Archive" tab.

You will be shown the archive search form.

The form lets you specify what you want to search for. It is simple to use.

• From -- Searches for a particular sender.  Just the name will be enough; the search does not need a full e-mail address. 
• To -- Searches for a particular recipient. Good for finding outgoing messages.
• Content -- Searches for text within a message.
• Date --  Dropdown list.  Options are "Last Two Days," "Last Week," "Last 30 Days," "Last Three Months," and "Last Year."
• Advanced Search -- Many more search options. The basic search will probably be fine most of the time, but if you need to refine it, use the advanced search option.

Once you have entered your data, click on "Search Archive."

A list of e-mail matching the criteria will display.

At the right is a button to recover a single message.  Click on this and it will be delivered into your inbox in a few minutes. You can also click on the check box beside messages and click the "Recover Selecte" button at the top. If you just want to read the message, click on the message title.

Lost Password

If you've forgotten or don't know your password (it probably won't be the same as for your e-mail), type any letter in the "Password" field to get to the "Invalid password" screen (below).

Click on "Forgot your Password?" (see arrow). An e-mail will be sent to your Siena e-mail address with a new temporary password. You will be asked to reset it the next time you log in.
