Registration

You must register your computer to use FRANet. Use the links on the right to connect to registration.

Gaming devices (Xbox, Playstation, Wii, etc.) must also be registered. You will need to give your Mac Address as part of the registration process.  Instructions on finding the Mac Address on on the device registration page.

Registering Vista Computers

Computers running Microsoft Vista do run on FRANet. However, security features in Vista require that you do the following when registering with FRANet:

• When the computer prompts to run the CSA client (to check your antivirus), do not run it. Download it instead.
• Once downloaded onto your computer, right click and choose "Run as Administrator."

This will allow the client to run properly. Once it runs, the FRANet will allow you to register normally.

Firewalls

Windows Vista comes with a built-in firewall, but most antivirus software also contains a firewall as part of the package. It's best to turn off the firewall before registering the computer. Look for the antivirus icon on the taskbar and right click.  There should be an option to delete the firewall.
