Assistant Professor of Religious Studies

The Siena College Religious Studies Department invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level starting Fall 2011. We require a Ph.D. with a focus in South or East Asian religious traditions. A successful candidate will be conversant with methodological issues in the study of religion. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to teach at least one of the disciplinary courses offered by the Department as part of Siena’s Core Curriculum. A commitment both to excellence in teaching and to an active research program is essential. We expect all candidates to refer to the Department’s expectations as expressed in its mission statement and student learning goals.
